Defining and Navigating the New Normal:

A Panel Discussion to Help Nonprofits and
    Small Businesses Reimagine Their Future

    Panelists:

Howard Flax, President, FLAX art & design

Dr. Mieko Hatano, Executive Director, Oakland Symphony

Natalia Ivanova Mount, Executive Director & Cultural Organizer, Pro Arts

Barbra Silver, Executive Director, Family Paths

Moderator: Lisa A. Salomon, Principal, Salomon Strategic Development

Nonprofits and other small businesses are navigating uncharted territory in the face of this pandemic.  Not only do organizations need to respond quickly to address the short-term crisis and find new ways to serve their respective customers and communities, but they are struggling to develop a recovery plan in the face of such uncertainty.

Many are also discovering new opportunities to innovate and build greater efficiency in their operations.

Join us with the leaders of four Oakland organizations that have already begun to pivot their operating models and are working diligently to project what “normal” might look like in a post-COVID world, forecasting what it will cost and how it will be funded.

Hear their “lessons learned,” ask your own questions, and engage with colleagues through live chat.

This event is open to members and nonmembers.

To register and receive the link, please email Alana Ross, membership@oaklandchamber.com, by Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
