Prior to joining Oakland Symphony\, she served as Executive Director of Music in the Mountains in Nevada City\, CA and the Augusta Symphony in Augusta\, GA where she was featured as one of Musical America's "Rising Stars in Orchestra Leadership". Dr. Hatano is a 2012 alumna of the DeVos Institue of Arts Management Fellowship at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington\, DC. Dr. Hatano holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music from the University of Southern California\, Los Angeles and earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan\, Ann Arbor.\n\n \n\nBarbra Silver is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a proud Oakland resident. She has been with Family Paths since 1998 and has held positions as a clinician\, Program Manager and Clinical Director before becoming Executive Director in 2016. She has co-lead the Family Paths' Multicultural Organizational Development committee since 2013\, and is currently the Vice President of the Alameda Council of Community Mental Health Agencies.\n\n\n\nLisa A. Salomon has actively worked in the nonprofit field for over 35 years. She has held senior development positions in both New York and the Bay Area\, conducted fundraising and Board development training\, organized conferences\, panels\, and strategic retreats\, and served on several Boards. In 2002\, Lisa launched Salomon Strategic Development\, a consulting practice serving small and mid-sized nonprofits seeking to build organizational and funding capacity. \n\n \n\nNatalia Ivanova Mount is the Executive Director and Curator of Pro Arts and is a dynamic cultural organizer and sociologist of art with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership\, development and strategic partnerships. Originally from Bulgaria\, Mount lived in New York\, where in early 2000\, she co-founded FLUX Art Space   a pioneering nonprofit organization that commissioned and produced long-term art projects\, claiming the intersection of art\, technology\, and civic engagement. Mount is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards in recognition of her contributions to the art and culture field. She holds a BA in Criminal Justice\, MA in Art Market\, and MBA in Media Management.\n\n\n\n \n\nHoward Flax represents the 3rd generation leadership of Flax art & design\, a long time supplier of art materials to artists thought the Bay Area and beyond. Howard has spent the majority of his professional career at Flax\, starting as the warehouse foreman and learning every facet of the business as he moved up in the company to become president. He is an active member of the community with experience on the boards of several non-profit organizations\, and on behalf of the Flax business he diligently works to strengthen the arts community.\n\n \n\nHoward Flax and his wife have two daughters who have left the nest. A life-long runner and mountain biker\, Howard enjoys hitting the trails for inspiration and to rejuvenate. His free time is best spent with family and friends\, and in the garden\, where if he has a pair of sharp pruners in hand\, he becomes an artist in his own right.
