World Premiere ''Counter Attack'' As any waitress knows, revenge is a dish best served cold. Stagebridge presents the World Premiere of Counter Attack. Written by Joan Holden, Counter Attack is loosely based on Candacy Taylor's Counter Culture, a documentary of coffee shop waitresses from around the nation. Joan Mankin plays Marlene, an aging waitress who discovers that her decades-old position at the counter is suddenly under attack by an ambitious newcomer. Directed by Sharon Lockwood, this play has over 60 characters played in rotation by 16 actors.
