Organist James O’Donnell will appear in concert at The Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland on Wednesday evening, March 6. Mr. O’Donnell is the Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey, where he is responsible for the direction of the Abbey’s music at daily choral services and the many great occasions which take place there such as the state visit of Pope Benedict XVI and the wedding of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. He also directs the Choir of Westminster Abbey in its concerts, broadcasts, recordings and tours, which have included visits to the Far East, the United States, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Russia and Spain. The Choir’s celebrated Hyperion recordings have attracted critical acclaim and an international following.
