The Alameda County SBDC, Dig Deep Farms and the Deputy Sheriff’s Action League offer a free nine-part seminar on “Starting Your Own Food Business” for participants interested in launching new food companies in unincorporated Alameda County. In this course, you will learn the basics to start your own food company. Do you have a great idea and a burning desire to start a food business but don't know how? This course will help turn your idea into reality.

Students taking the course will be encouraged to work with an ACSBDC consultant to submit a completed business plan for a new food business located in unincorporated Alameda County in order to: apply for start-up funding to launch their new idea; and/or develop new products by renting space in a commercial kitchen at subsidized rates.
