Responsible Beverage Service for Alcohol Servers (English)
RESPONSIBLE BEVERAGE SERVICE FOR ALCOHOL SERVERS
Presented by the Oakland Restaurant Association
and the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
The Oakland Restaurant Assoication has partnered with the ABC to make Responsible Beverage Service Training available to Oakland bars and restaurants at a reduced rate. The program will be presented in English and Spanish on the following dates:
Monday, November 15th - English - Oakland Marriott City Center, 1001 Broadway, 8am-12noon
Tuesday, November 16th - Spanish - Oakland Marriott City Center, 1001 Broadway, 10am-2pm
Thursday, December 2nd - English - Waterfront Hotel, 10 Washington, 2pm-6pm
The four hour program is available FREE for Oakland Restaurant Association members and just $25 for non-members. Classes will be restricted to 25 students, so please register ASAP to save your spot!
About the program:
The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has launched a new program to update standards for Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) programs used to train people who sell or serve alcoholic beverages in California.
The class currently being provided is aimed at any individual involved in direct service or sales of alcoholic beverages, including cashiers, servers, bartenders, doormen, bouncers, etc., within a licensed establishment (either on- or off-sale). The employment status of these individuals may be part-time, full-time, temporary, or permanent.
