This workshop will provide information about federal and state tax credits that businesses can obtain if they hire from the ex-offender population.

On Thursday, January 29, 2009, from 9:30am to 11:00am, the United States Probation Office and United States
Pretrial Services will host a networking workshop to discuss the benefits of hiring an ex-offender.
In this workshop, you will be provided with information to increase your knowledge and understanding of how you can
financially gain during these uncertain times. Solutions to some of your staffing concerns, saving on necessary business
expenses, and invaluable information on hiring the ex-offender population will be presented. Additionally, you will have
an opportunity to expand your business network community. Please join us and have your questions and/or concerns
addressed. We are confident that we will enhance your business and hiring prospective.
This workshop will be held at the United States Probation Office located at 1301 Clay Street, Room 200S, Oakland,
California from 9:30am to 11:00am. There will be a continental breakfast served.
