    OCYP 5k For Charity

    Planning on a 5K for the Oakland Running Festival? Join your fellow young professionals and raise money for Youth Radio, the award winning community organization providing digital media training to Oakland’s diverse young people.

    Location

    Course Description

    The Bank of the West  5K will run through the city streets near starting and ending at Snow Park at the corner of 19th and Harrison. The course will include one(1) water stop at the half way point.

    Packet Pick-Up

    All runners are required to pick up their bib race number and other important information during the Expo.

    • All registered participants will receive bib numbers that must be worn on race day.
    • Please fill in the necessary medical and emergency contact information on the back of the bib number with a pen or waterproof marker.
    • Please do not alter the bib in any way.
    • The bib must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race.  Make sure your bib number is clearly visible for the race photographers.
    • Bib numbers are non-transferable and must be worn by the registrant to whom it has been assigned.

    Runners who are not able to pick up their packets in person must make arrangements for a representative to pick up their packets. Your representative must present a signed authorization from you in order to claim your packet and premium.

    The Nitty Gritty

    The following items are not permitted on the course: pets, skateboards, bicycles, roller blades, baby joggers and any other type of vehicle (other than official Marathon vehicles). These regulations are for your safety and the safety of the other participants in the race. The Oakland Marathon reserves the right to disqualify and remove anyone from the course who has any of the above items.
