The Oakland Symphony Chorus 19th Annual Summer Sing-Ins begin Tuesday, July 5 at our new location, St. Paschal Church at 3700 Dorisa Avenue, near the Oakland Zoo. Come sing-along to all of your favorite pieces from Haydn's Harmoniemesse to Orff's Carmina Burana. We are not leaving out your favorites, Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem or Vivaldi's Gloria. Help us welcome back conductors Dr. Lynne Morrow, Vance George and Buddy James and introduce newcomers Martha Stoddard and Ming Luke. On August 2, we will return to our former location, First Covenant Church, 4000 Redwood Road for a Special Sing-In Event featuring Maestro Michael Morgan conducting the Mozart Requiem. This special event will help fund the 10th Anniversary Remembrance of 9/11 at the Cathedral of Christ the Light on Sunday, September 11, 2011. SEE THE FULL SCHEDULE on our website www.OaklandSymphonyChorus.org and reserve your Tuesday summer nights NOW. Join us Tuesday nights, July 5 - August 9, 2011 for choral music at its best: Sung by YOU.
