Cantare’s Chamber Ensemble is joined by our youth choir, Spira to present an array of Madrigals, Chansons and Ballads from the Renaissance period, displaying choral singing of secular music from its beginnings. Enjoy these playful and more serious songs reflecting on gossiping neighbors, love, break-ups, jealousy, animal life, dancing, partying—the many facets of everyday life even today.
