Mandela Tribute Added to Cathedral Concert
This Saturday evening in The Cathedral of Christ the Light, the Laudamus Choir & Orchestra will be joined by the Vukani Mawethu Choir of Oakland in tribute to the late Nelson Mandela on the weekend of his burial. Vukani Mawethu will perform selections from their repertoire of South African songs, as they did during Mandela?s visit to Oakland in 1990. Laudamus will present their planned Christmas program, including a holiday sing-along. All are welcome; admission is by free-will donation.
