Oakland Chamber Board Room
Inside Oakland Breakfast Forum featuring the Executive Director of the ACTC
Come to the "Inside Oakland Breakfast Forum" and hear from people who affect the policies and progress of the city in which we live and do business.
Friday, September 17, 2010
8:30 - 10:00 a.m.
Oakland Chamber Board Room
Featured Speaker: Arthur Dao, Executive Director for the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC)
ARTHUR DAO is the first Executive Director to lead the newly-formed countywide transportation agency. Dao's appointment follows a broad national search to fill the new position, and will allow the Commission, formed earlier this year by a Joint Powers Agreement between the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) and the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (ACCMA), to move forward with plans for the consolidation of the two agencies.
Dao transitions from his previous function with ACTIA, where he was appointed in June 2001 to serve as the Deputy Director where he was responsible for the delivery of the Measure B-funded Capital Program, and is credited with developing and overseeing the early delivery of nearly all Measure B capital infrastructure projects.
Join Chamber members for an informative discussion about the vision for the new County Transportation Commission as well as Measure B re-authorization efforts, and other issues related to transportation infrastructure improvements throughout Oakland and Alameda County.
**Admission: Free to Chamber members; $10 for non-members.
**RSVP required by Wednesday, September 15, 2010. RSVP to speterson@oaklandchamber.com or 510-874-4817.
