Featured Speaker: Councilmember Larry Reid (City Council District 7)
As Councilmember, Larry Reid's mission and motto is to ''make a difference and improve the quality of life of those who elected me.'' Some of his notable accomplishments and contributions include creation of a transit village around the Coliseum BART station, redevelopment of the former Oak Knoll Naval Hospital, combating drug trafficking and violent crime, and many more. Councilmember Reid also represents Oakland on several regional bodies including the League of Cities, Alameda County Congestion Management Agency, and the City/Port Liaison Committee
