Historical Symposium: The Catholic Diocese of Oakland, Born From the Second Vatican Council
The 50-year history of the Catholic Diocese of Oakland will be examined through the lens of Vatican II at a free symposium, “The Diocese of Oakland: Born from the Second Vatican Council.” Panelists include Bishop Emeritus John Cummins, Father Joseph Chinnici, OFM, Father John Coleman, SJ, Ms. Mary Ann Mattos and Sister Rose Marie Hennessy.
This free event will be held in the Cathedral Event Center from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, with light refreshments following. All are welcome. Tours of the Cathedral will be offered at 2:45 pm. Please RSVP to 510-267-8350 for Symposium and/or Tour.Date and Time
