Free Seminar: Employment Laws for HR
Have you hired a new generalist? Are you newer to the HR Function?
The Human Resources Generalist Certificate program has everything you need. With a focus on the most critical areas of HR, this program better prepares those newer to HR to effectively handle the issues they face on a daily basis. This program is geared to individuals who are new to HR (less than 3 years experience).
Through case studies, lively discussions and up-to-date content, the series drills down on compliance (California and federal), best HR practices, and HR roles and responsibilities. This 8 module program is structured in 4 hour courses and is typically scheduled once a week until complete, allowing participants to discuss contemporary issues they are encountering.
You may sign up for the entire certification, or attend individual modules, at your convenience. All modules are free for Oakland Chamber members and will be held at the Chamber office.

- Compensation & Benefits Trends - Oct. 20, 8:30-12:30
- HR and Supervisory Communications - Oct. 27, 8:30-12:30
