You are cordially invited to a breakfast workshop and discussion on new financial services available to local employees this Thursday morning, December 15th at the Marin Community Foundation.
Co-hosted by One PacificCoast Bank Foundation and Accuchex, this discussion will offer employers the opportunity to discuss alternatives to employer-sponsored paycheck advances as well as alternatives to extremely high interest loans offered by payday lenders. The workshop will introduce the Pal program, a new pilot employee assistance loan program sponsored in part by the Marin Community Foundation.
At a time in which people's homes are being foreclosed and household members are losing jobs, this program can help employers provide relief to employees and their families when faced with an unexpected expense such as a car repair or medical bill. Emergencies happen to everyone - a recent article published by the Huffington Post revealed that 64% of Americans do not have enough money to cover a $1000 unexpected expense.
At the same time, providing employees with financial relief creates more stability and productivity on the job.
The discussion will cover how this employee assistance loan program:
* Offers an alternative so that employers don't have to provide paycheck advances to their employees.
* Offers employees an alternative to expensive payday loans
* Can help people manage their holiday expenses
Join us for the discussion, breakfast, and a tour of the Marin Community Foundation's beautiful facilities!
