Kathy is Kaiser Permanente’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and part of the innovative leadership team that promoted simply-worded evocative, hip themes like “Find Your Thing,” complemented with luscious photos. It has been a phenomenal national marketing campaign and transformational for the Kaiser Permanente identity. Promoted to chief financial officer in 2005, Ms. Lancaster oversees the controller’s office, treasury, finance operations including procurement and supply & financial shared services functions, and Kaiser Permanente’s strategic planning, as well as the finance teams of the revenue cycle function, and the organization’s Sarbanes-Oxley implementation. She also provides financial leadership for the pharmacy group, national facilities organization, and each of Kaiser Permanente’s eight geographic regions. Prior to her role as chief financial offer and executive vice president of strategic planning, Ms. Lancaster held various strategy and financial planning roles within Kaiser Permanente.For more than two decades Ms. Lancaster has partnered with employers, providers, and members in health care delivery, focusing on new product development, network management, and health plan operations. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she held a number of senior leadership roles in underwriting and network management for Prudential Insurance Company's western region, in addition to heading up the company's health maintenance organization in Northern California and leading the organization’s successful financial turnaround.Date and Time
