Succeeding Within the World of Gender Bias

This compelling topic will be presented by Mary Cranston Senior Partner and past chair of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Cranston will discuss strategies on how to become a leader in a male dominated organization, as well as outcomes from those who have tried her techniques and strategies. Cranston was the first female chair of a big national law firm and supervised two large corporate mergers. In 2005 she was awarded the Margaret Brent Women Lawyers Achievement Award by the American Bar Association's Commission of Women in the Profession. This award honors Cranston's efforts to create more gender-friendly law firm policies such as maternity leave, part-time policies and flexible schedules.
