Wild Oakland Presents: The Kingdoms of Lake Merritt
Lake Merritt, Oakland's beloved urban slough and first wildlife refuge in the United States, is a habitat that supports species from five (5) out of the six (6) biological kingdoms. Why aren't all six (6) there, you ask? Hmmm, you'll have to come to the talk to find out. If you already know what Lattice Stinkhorns, Tintinnids, or Sharpshooters are and could identify them in a police lineup, well, you might not learn anything new. But in that case, come anyway and share your knowledge with us! Join Constance Taylor from Wild Oakland to hear some stories about fantastic species that call Lake Merritt home. Wild Oakland is an organization dedicated to providing free enviromental education to busy urbanites.
