Speak Up - I Can't HEAR YOU! Communicating with someone who is suffering from a hearing loss is one of the most frustrating experiences - not only for the person trying to hear, but for the speaker as well. And the impact of hearing loss is much more than frustration. Older adults with hearing loss experience higher rates of depression and anxiety, and are at risk for a more rapid decline in cognitive abilities. Otolaryngologist Melissa Amorn, MD, will lead this discussion about the importance of keeping your hearing as sharp as you can. Presented by Alta Bates Sutter Health.
