Designing Employee Engagement Programs For Equity And Empowerment: Salesforce & buildOn
Tuesday, October 19, 2021
10:00 AM – 11:00AM
When corporations like Salesforce, Synchrony, and Rodan + Fields have looked to build employee engagement programs with deep community impact, they turned to buildOn, a nonprofit organization rooted in service-learning operating in America’s most urban high schools.
buildOn's flagship corporate engagement programs -- All In, Partnership Program, and Service Immersions-- flip the traditional volunteer model on its head by putting buildOn high school students in the driver’s seat and asking the volunteers to show up as humble learners. Much of buildOn’s success lies in its commitment to continually use feedback from students, partners, and DEI experts to ensure these experiences are empowering and inclusive. The results include empathy-building, cross-cultural understanding, and a life-changing experience for everyone involved.
In this session, you will learn how to build a partnership model based on service leadership, trust and strong solidarity with the communities being served.
By the end of the Workshop, you will learn:
