As prose writers, we don't have actors or a stage. Instead, we have to create everything: actors, setting, movements and expressions! All too often writers fall into the trap of creating scenes between disembodied characters that fail to help their readers create a visual movie. By thinking about best practices regarding writer-and-reader interaction and keeping the importance of visual descriptions in our minds, this workshop will help you work on creating writing where your characters not only come to life, but where your readers become co-creators of the action.
