    Art of Justice

Want to support young local artists, area schools, and McCullum Youth Court (MYC) all at once? Then be a sponsor of the inaugural Art of Justice Silent Auction, to be held Friday, June 4th, 2010 (6-8 pm) at Posh Pieces Gallery at 3824 Telegraph. The Art of Justice Silent Auction is a fundraising event for East Bay high schools and MYC. The goal of the project is to offer teenage artists the opportunity to display their talents and to promote philanthropy among youth. Proceeds will go to MYC and the school each artist attends. At the end of the auction, three scholarships of $500 each will be awarded: for the crowd favorite, for the piece that raises the most money, and for the piece that best represents ''The Art of Justice.'' There are three sponsorship levels for this event: $250 ? Listed as sponsor in advertising/promotional materials (website, flyers, ads, etc.) ? Publicly thanked at the event ? Listed as a supporter in our Annual Report $500 ? All of the above plus: ? Your company's logo on promotional materials ? Two tickets to VIP champagne pre-event reception at 5:30 where you can meet some of the artists and get first crack at the artwork for ''Buy it Now'' consideration $1,000 ? All of the above plus: ? Four tickets (rather than 2) to VIP champagne pre-event reception ? Opportunity for your company's representative to speak at the pre-event reception ? Naming rights for one of the scholarships to be awarded (e.g., ''The Wells Fargo Art of Justice Scholarship''). Can't sponsor, but would like to donate a piece? We're accepting paintings, mixed media, photography, jewelry, and sculpture. For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact Darren White, Youth Court's Director of Development & Public Relations, at 510-832-5858 ext. 307, or via e-mail at: darren@youthcourt.org.
