June is The Art of Justice month at McCullum Youth Court, and we're kicking it off with a fabulous event June 4th, 2010. The Art of Justice Silent Auction will feature works of art from around the country PLUS pieces from young East Bay artists competing for scholarships. Enjoy complimentary wine and hors d'ouvres and pick up a cool work of art--from paintings to sculptures to photography to jewelry and more (all proceeds benefit McCullum Youth Court and various East Bay high schools). Admission is FREE, unless you would like to come at 5:30 for a VIP champagne reception to get a head start on bidders and meet some of the artists. The pre-reception cost is $20 (free for Friends of Youth Court). For information on becoming a "Friend of Youth Court," or to get a ticket for the pre-reception (SPACE IS LIMITED), call 510-832-5858, or e-mail: david@youthcourt.org. All attendees will also have the opportunity to vote on the "Audience Favorite" whether you buy a piece or not. The East Bay youth whose piece wins will receive a $500 scholarship (two other $500 scholarships will be awarded: one to the piece that best represents "The Art of Justice" as selected by a panel of judges, and one to the piece that raises the most money).
