This seminar will discuss many of the complex issues associated with Intellectual Property (“IP”) including Copyrights, Trademarks and Patents. What you will learn about: - how intellectual property is defined - the rationale, cost and process for registering intellectual property - what constitutes intellectual property infringement - what to do to protect your intellectual property - how to deal with the ownership of intellectual property in contracts This course will also discuss copyright fair use, personality rights and the use pictures of others commercially, using Creative Commons and other "open" licenses.
