107th Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon Presented By Visa 6/27/2012

The Oakland Chamber’s 107th Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 27 at the Oakland Marriott City Center. This year’s meeting will recognize and celebrate the Chamber’s members, the lifeblood of the organization, and will run from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Oakland Marriott City Center.
 
The luncheon presents members with an opportunity to celebrate a year of Chamber accomplishments, a chance to network with new and award-winning members, and a way to show support for the Chamber and our many programs. It will feature introductions of our incoming Board of Directors, as well as a chance to hear directly from the Board Chair, Mr. John Nelson, as he lays out the organization’s vision for 2013.
 
The luncheon is also one of the major fundraising events of the year, providing the Chamber with funds to continue those programs and our strong advocacy for local business.
 
ABOUT THE AWARDS…
 
The event will showcase the Oakland Chamber Award winners of the following categories:

• Business Innovator– recognizing a local company or business person whose practices exemplify creative thinking and smart customer service
• Nonprofit Impact– recognizing a local nonprofit or nonprofit leader whose actions have made the most significant impact on quality of life in Oakland
• Business Volunteer of the Year– recognizing a Chamber member whose dedication to their unique role as a volunteer offers inspiration to all
• Education First– recognizing a local company or individual whose contributions to youth organizations make necessary education and workforce development services accessible
• Community Contributor– recognizing a local company or business person whose contributions have benefited communities and individuals in Oakland
• Best Oakland Dish - recognizing Oakland's restaurant scene by selecting our City's best signature dishes .
• Leadership Oakland Alumni of the Year: an alumnus who inspires and leads through work, community activities or personal stories.

Benefits include: One table for eight at the event (the award winner and their guest will be seated with you), and the opportunity to introduce the winner and present the award onstage as part of the program, priority front row seating, logo inclusion in the marketing material/website/event program/slideshow, banner recognition in the room.
