DESCRIPTION:A cross-sector coalition of BIDs\, Chambers\, and nonprofits is hosting City of Oakland Homelessness Administrator Daryel Dunston to present a potential Encampment Management Policy that the city council will hear at their meeting on October 20. The intention behind the policy is to provide better sanitation\, guidelines\, and consistency for both housed and unhoused Oakland residents and businesses. \n\n \n\nThis presentation is part of the ongoing collaboration of Oakland businesses\, nonprofits\, and public agencies  - led by the BID Alliance and convened by the Metro Chamber - to advance holistic short-term and long-term compassionate solutions to homelessness. Additional co-presenting organizations to be announced.
