DESCRIPTION:For the past four years\, Spice Monkey has hosted their Thanksgiving Day event as a way to draw members of the community together while raising much-needed food donations to support the local food bank. Guests can enjoy the warmth and ambiance of the season in the restaurant's beautifully tiled\, two-story location in downtown Oakland\, designated a local historic landmark. The restaurant's owners and staff look forward to the event each year as a way to connect with the surrounding community.\n	\n		"Last year's food drive was a huge success. We collected 1\,344 pounds of dry and canned food. This year we anticipate that we will beat our record! Community members have been asking us about this year's event since this past Spring!" says restaurant owner\, Kanitha Matoury. \n\n		\n\n		Now until November 19th\, Spice Monkey will be accepting reservations. Due to limited seating\, reservations are first come\, first serve. Community members are invited to drop by the restaurant with 14 cans for each person who will be on the reservation (limit of 8 per party) and receive a time slot to join us for a yummy Thanksgiving meal.  The complimentary meal will include a main course and special dessert treat. Beer\, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.\n	\n		DROP-OFF HOURS:\n	\n		Mon-Fri 1:30pm - 3:30pm & 7pm - 9pm\n	\n		Saturday 10am - 3pm\, Sunday 10am - 11am\n	\n\n	For those who cannot attend\, Spice Monkey encourages community members to drop by with donations at any time.
