DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to sing with the Oakland Symphony Chorus but have been too shy to audition?  Join members of OSC for an energizing and enlightening workshop on Haydn's Harmoniemesse.  No fuss\, no audition\, just a wonderful opportunity to engage for six weeks to study this mass\, learning more about its form and history and participating with the Oakland Symphony Chorus in a recital performance at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland.  Although we won't be singing with a wind-band as the name implies\, we will be performing with piano and the incredible sounds of the Cathedral organ.\n \n\nThis six week workshop meets on Wednesday nights from October 12 - November 16 with the recital performance on Saturday\, November 19\, 2011 at the Cathedral.  Workshops are scheduled from 7:30 - 10:00 pm at St Paschal Baylon Church\, 3700 Dorisa Avenue in Oakland.\n\n \n\nFee:  $75 in advance\; $80 at the door.  What a bargain.  One singing lesson would cost you at least this much and with Dr. Lynne Morrow directing\, you will be getting six for the price of one.  Space is limited so sign up today!!!
