Categories include: Oakland Soul\, Ripple Effect\, Innovative Newbie\, Greenie\, Socially-Responsible Rockstar and Pillar.\n\n \n\n "The Oakland Indie Awards is a chance for all of us to appreciate the amazing creativity and activism displayed by Oakland's entrepreneurs\," said Oakland Indie Award founder Erin Kilmer-Neel.\n\n \n\nEstablished in 2006\, the event features an awards ceremony hosted by Oakland community leaders\, and an after-party with food\, drink and sweets from Oakland purveyors.
