This is a BIG election year for Oakland.
Every two years, half of the elected offices of the City of Oakland are up for re-election. This cycle includes the even-numbered Council and School District seats, the City Auditor, the Mayor, and numerous measures. Two of the four Council seats are open, where the incumbent is not running for re-election. And we all know about the Mayor’s race – one of the biggest ever.
